Staring at the blank page before you

So I found this song, actually my daughter found this song....and I love the words. I know, Pops, lyrics are bad. But I love them.

Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield.

I am unwritten, can't read my mind, I'm undefined
I'm just beginning, the pen's in my hand, ending unplanned

Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find

Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your innovations
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten

I break tradition, sometimes my tries, are outside the lines
We've been conditioned to not make mistakes, but I can't live that way

Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find

Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten

Love the song Unwritten. Given that I am chronically depressed (and i am owning that) it is rare for me to find a song that makes me smile..and since I am also a writer, it has that whole double meaning for me...just seems odd to me that they are using it on TV for a pantene commercial. ;-)

This is one of my favorite songs, as well. I always turned the radio up twice as loud when they played it. (Then I'd forget to turn it down again, and jump out of my seat the next time I started the car...)
